Email Notice – August 29, 2011 – New Option for Medicaid Consulting & Seminars!!
Dear Friends,
On July 8, 2011, I wrote to notify you that effective July 31, 2011, I would be retiring from Medicaid consulting. I am not retiring from working altogether mind you, as I am much too young; just retiring from what I have been doing for the last 17 years.
My business partner, Kim Williams, and I made the decision to close our business and pursue new and exciting opportunities. I have accepted a position as a Medicaid coding specialist with Correct Coding Solutions, LLC., the CMS contractor responsible for the Medicare and Medicaid National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI). Kim will be joining another lobby firm and will still be working with the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology in the same capacity as she has for the last 25 years.
This was a very difficult decision and a part of me is deeply saddened to be leaving the consulting world but after 17 years, it is time for me to pursue other opportunities. I deeply appreciate the support you have provided me through your attendance at seminars, on-site requests, and telephone support services. I have enjoyed the last 17 years and hope that I have been able to make your dealings with Medicaid just a little easier; I certainly tried.
Due to a conflict of interest in my new position, I will be unable to provide any Medicaid assistance or seminars. As my friends and supporters, I did not feel like I could just abandon you by walking away and have been diligently searching for an alternative solution that I could wholeheartedly recommend. I am very happy to say, I have found just such a solution for assistance with Medicaid issues and future Medicaid training/seminars. I am pleased and excited to announce that Indianapolis Medical Management (IMM), a healthcare consulting firm located here in Indianapolis, is ready, willing, and able to provide Medicaid support to all my previous clients and will also be offering the yearly Medicaid update seminars using the Indiana Health Coverage Programs Survival Guide. IMM has been a client of mine for a number of years and I am very confident they have the Medicaid knowledge and experience to serve you well. In recent weeks AMPlus and IMM have worked to transition my educational and reference/research materials, introduce them to my various Medicaid contacts, and “train” their staff to serve you as I did.
As part of the agreement between AMPlus and IMM, I will be providing your contact information so they may send you information about their services and upcoming Medicaid seminars. Should you wish to opt out of any future notices from IMM, you may request to be removed from their contact list.
I wish you all much happiness and success. Please read below for a brief introduction to IMM and to help acquaint you with them and their staff. I am leaving you all in good hands!! IMM will be notifying everyone very soon of the dates for the 2012 Medicaid Update seminars.
